Keepin' It Classy?

So, before I bore all of my melanin deficient friends about how it is Black History Month, and how African-Americans have contributed in so many ways. And, how some of those contributions are still underappreciated to this day. I have to "go-in" and continue my onslaught on all things gentlemanly. Well I may be the only one who remembers but, in the early 90's there was a rap group called Kid n Play. The group consisted of Christopher "Kid" Reid, and Christopher "Play" Martin They were pretty popular in the urban music market, but their most famous contribution to pop culture is of course the House Party movies. (And I have seen all of them) Another one of their lesser known contributions is a movie called Class Act. In which a nerd(Kid) and a thug(Play) switch places for a high school semester, and learn all about how to lead a lifestyle different than their own. In this movie, they make specific reference to the fact that in Shakespearean english "to die" can be used in reference to a sexual orgasm. In the end everyone "gets the girl" and they all "die" together. Now, even at a young age this threw me for a loop. How does that happen? Is it possible to just make a temporary change that produces long-term results? Can you get the girl by just being the man she wants? I wonder....
So, when Cutting Crew said "I Just Died In Your Arms Tonight" they meant they were just talking about a nite cap? Anyways, I just don't really think it is that simple. But, it is still probably simpler than alot of guys make it to get some respect and a lady friend.

I drove by a construction site on a windy day, and saw a traffic light swaying overhead with three workers trustingly working underneath. I thought to myself "that doesn't look that safe." But, those three men felt as comfortable as ever right there doing their job. Which led me to think of all the places men feel comfortable that probably aren't. However, you put some guys in a room full of women and you can count the seconds before uncomfortability sets in. Some men feel safe in submarines knowing the threat of implosion, the bends, and possible gayness(if your a Naval seaman), yet they are out to sea for months at a time. I know it may seem like a drawn out comparison but if you're a guy think about this. You are at a party talking with your boys, a girl walks up to join in............ and SILENCE. Now, some people see this situation as difficult and some see it as easy. Just TALK about anything right? But, there are some guys who would much rather swim with great whites or go skydiving. Forgive me I am only trying to understand. Either way I feel like instead of chasing the white rabbit, I am him. So now im late for an important date, and I still don't have any answers for all my weird questions.
